Cubist Collage Collection Created — What is the purpose of Art?

Book of Fluxus Family Games

Am currently amassing clipart from personal collection to be included in a Fluxual Cubist Collage Mega-Structure Artistic Form.

For fun and entertainment, one need only turn to page 242. It’s a compendium of creative collusion.

As a fluXus person, most of my hourly endeavors seem illusionary. The purpose of art is what? It is to entertain. It is to confuse. It is to please the mind.

Art’s purpose is:

mercenary

fundamental

incremental

reductive

mentally exhausting

mentally pleasing

emotionally legitimate

Find your fluXus bliss.

Oh crap, TV is on in the living room, I can barely hear it. Someone is crying — a man. Joy Behar responds. The remote is out of reach … my ears bleed. “Jesse James” whispers out from the adjoining room and the whining man retreats from The View’s view, at least I believe that happens since I only hear it, don’t see it. And my thoughts, my fluXus definition or purpose here is NOTHING. I care so very little about peccadilloes. Cheating spouses. Make it go away. If only telepathy could force the remote to turn television to the off position.

It is

tabloid fluxus. Stupid waste of the world’s bandwidth.

How can an adulterer become the most hated man? Really? Not Osama Bin Laden? Hitler? America — get a grip on your fluxus sensibilities.

NuvoFluxus — the term does not thrill me. It may be correct, the nuvo of my flux, but the term ceases to amuse.

Moving forward.

Try this Univac 120. For punched card electronics. My father trained during WWII to use a punch card, to write programs/queries. He left the Army after The War’s End and sold computers, Sperry Rand, the giant, city block sized machines. A visionary or a fool?
