It’s sunny and super. A total art day.

Grandson Oliver (age 5) and I are creating tattoos today. At least that’s what he calls them. We’re scanning old documents, printing the scan on a laser printer, covering the printed piece of paper with clear contact paper, and then — we use the handle of a spatula to rub and rub the ink into the contact paper. Then! We soak the whole thing in warm water.

Then we rub the paper off and *VOILA*! We have the ink transferred to the contact paper and we put the whole sheebang onto a piece of glass. We’re going to create a series of panels for the back door glass. It’ll be boy-awesome.

Now, back to real artwork.
