The City of Nor­folk, Vir­ginia is excited to announce

a Call for Artists to cre­ate art­work for the

Lambert’s Point Com­mu­nity Center

Nor­folk, Vir­ginia — The Nor­folk Pub­lic Art Com­mis­sion and the Lambert’s Point Com­mu­nity Cen­ter Plan­ning Com­mit­tee seek to com­mis­sion an artist to cre­ate lively, light-​hearted and thought-​provoking art­work for the exte­rior of the new com­mu­nity cen­ter. Inter­ac­tive art­work which incor­po­rates an out­door adven­ture theme and an appre­ci­a­tion of our nat­ural resources is encouraged.

Project funds for this site-​specific, exte­rior art­work are $52,000.

Pre-​submission site visit on August 5, 2009 1:00 p.m. 1251 W. 42^nd Street, Norfolk

Dead­line for sub­mis­sions is August 27, 2009.
